Hot Ferrets

Well, I’m using R’s computer right now to read LJ over 28.8…man, this sucks! I’m so used to my sweet DSL.

I have a very warm ferret scampering about playing right now. R went to visit her family in the Bay Area for a few days and I promised to watch the micro-weasel for her. This involves checking food and water and letting him out of his human sized cage to play. Oh, and cleaning up after him when he makes a mess. Sometimes it involves taunting him with shiny things that move…

I found a humourous community this evening. It is . It makes me think of the entry I posted the other day about my LJ friends. Perhaps the five of you should make a community. ;-)

Oh, and my friend and occasional Nath Guru Shade told me a bad joke today:

“Did you hear they are making a new Survivor show?”

“They’re calling it Altarboy.”

It’s bad but I grew up Catholic and an altarboy. What can I say?

Stuff to Do?

Well, I just put R on the plane to the Bay Area. She’s gone home until this next Wednesday to visit her parents down there. We went out and had a nice breakfast this morning before I took her to the plane.

So, now I’ve got a three day weekend and not a lot to do. I'm picking up Madeline (my daughter) in a few hours and she’ll be spending the night with me. From around noon or so tomorrow, I'm free! No work on Monday of course.

If anyone has suggestions of cool shit to do locally, I’m all ears. Since R and I started seeing each other, she’s been working evenings and nights so we spent out weekend time together in response to that. I’m not used to this much free time on the weekend. ;-)
