Thanksgiving and Today
Yesterday was Thanksgiving for everyone vaguely aware of U.S. holidays, often also known as “Turkey Day” or occasionally as “Genocide Day” (in deference to the natives…).
R and I spent most of the day at home. We peeled ten pounds of spuds and I then cooked them up and made mashed potatoes for the dinner later. We went over to Tylk’s place around 4:00 and met up with her, Dianthus, Craig and many others. We enjoyed a very nice meal with all involved, including a nice bit of lamb and many pies (oh, and turkey!). R and I were there fairly late chatting with people and playing with the many cats (who adore me).
Today, we spent the morning fooling around and them and visited Lazuli93 at her work so we could get massages. I’d never been there before and didn’t really know what to expect but I had a very nice massage and my body feels a lot better than it did, especially my neck.
Tonight, we’re meeting up with Kat, Oniyeh, and Ashley for Ethiopian food and perhaps going to see the Retros, some kind of 80s cover band.
