Following our visit with the Mythbusters and the Exploratorium, R and I took a stroll around the Palace of Fine Arts. I’d never been there before though I had heard about it many times over the years.

I have a thing for architecture, especially in a Classical or pseudo-Classical style so I took a lot of photos. I’ve put them up in a set on my flickr account.

Here are a couple from the set:

Mythbusters at the Exploratorium

R found out that the “Mythbusters” main stars, Jamie and Adam, were going to be at the Exploratorium in San Francisco today to speak, run some science demos for kids, and sign their new book. We’d been wanting to go out to the Exploratorium at some point anyway so we took a trip into the city for this.

We arrived in time to hear the two of them speak for half an hour. They were doing the crowd thing but it was fun to see them. R and I then spent another hour and a half or so wandering the Exploratorium, playing with the gizmos there. It is similar to the Science Center in Seattle but about double the size.
